Dilshad vintage Red field with all overA high quality1920s rug from Tafresh in northwest Persia. A glowing soft red field with large pale blue centre medallion; quarter medallions in the spandrels; ivory flowerhead and boteh motifs in the main border. A skilful vertical repair has been made to the centre by a previous owner. This is visible but fits harmoniously into the whole with the colours being just slightly lighter than the original. This rug was worth rescuing! 169 x 129cm
